IBD and Host Immune Response

Supported by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), this translational research project investigates the molecular interplay between gut microbial dysbiosis and host immune dysregulation in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). By integrating clinical longitudinal follow-up with high-throughput multi-omic analysis of patient blood and stool samples collected in collaboration with AIIMS New Delhi, the study aims to uncover gut microbiome signatures and systemic immune responses associated with disease progression and therapeutic outcomes.

Bacterial Drug Treatment

In collaboration with researchers at Delhi University, this project focuses on evaluating novel chemical compounds to combat multi-drug resistant bacterial pathogens. By combining chemical synthesis with molecular microbiology and immune profiling, the study aims to identify potent antibacterial candidates, elucidate their mechanisms of action, and evaluate their potential to overcome therapeutic resistance in bacterial infections.
